Food recommendations for Bat mitzvah

We are looking for some recent recommendations for the following (especially appreciate leads for affordable options):

  1. reasonable priced catering for typical brunch after the ceremony (bagels, lox, egg salad, veggies, fruit, etc).
  2. Vegetarian/fish caterer for evening party
  3. reasonably priced restaurant in or close to Berkeley where we could have either a Friday night dinner or Sunday brunch for out of town guests (about 40 people)

Thanks so much in advance for the recommendations

I use Ann's Catering for work several times per year. The food is good and they deliver or you can pick up if they don't have delivery available at the times you need. They have bagels and vegetarian options. They don't have egg salad on the menu at the moment, but they do have frittata and deviled eggs, so maybe you can ask. http://anns-catering.com/Ann's_Catering_SS_2024.pdf

Market Hall caterers are great. Highly recommended.

La Note is great for brunch. We also love Gather which is near campus (dinner) and Juanita and Maude (Albany) for dinner.

Comal in Berkeley is also a great dinner spot. Zut on fourth street used to be good- have not been in awhile though.

Zaytoon in Albany is delicious for dinner. The Claremont hotel has a restaurant called Limewood with great views. Some people like Skates but I don’t love their food but the view is awesome and its very old school.

Good luck!

Jasmine Catering is excellent. They catered my son’s Bar Mitzvah and are doing our anniversary party. Contact Oded [at] jasminecatering.com.
